Policy Palooza

Twice a year, the DC Public Schools (DCPS) Partnerships team hosts a training session for new and returning School Program Providers (SPPs) covering key policies, procedures, and resources you need to know when partnering with the district.

Below you will find the recording for Part 1 and Part 2 of our Policy Palooza training from July 2025.

Part 1: Becoming a DCPS School Program Provider

This session covers all the requirements for becoming an SPP including registering, identifying a school, obtaining your agreement, clearances, and facilities use. We also share helpful resources to support you throughout the process.

 

This training is strongly encouraged for new SPPs (organizations who do not currently have a partnership with DCPS or have had their MOA/Purchase Order for less than 1 year).

Part 2: Policies and Requirements for DCPS School Program Providers

This session covers key policies and requirements around student safety, equitable access to programming, and media and events, including:

  • Mandated reporter training

  • Incident reporting protocol

  • DCPS field trip policy

  • Accommodation requests

  • Language access services

  • OSSE licensure process

  • Hosting events at a DCPS school

  • & helpful resources to support you along the process 

This training is REQUIRED for both new and returning SPPs.
